Students undertake exposure trip to Manipur

Dimapur, Dec. 11 (EMN): A total of 19 students from Mon, Tuensang, Longleng, Kiphire and Kohima districts along with four teachers and three officials from the State Mission Office, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland (SSN), undertook an exposure trip to Manipur under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) December 6 to the 9th.

During the visit, the team visited two schools namely TG Higher Secondary School and Wangkhei High School in Manipur. The students from both Nagaland and Manipur performed their cultural folk songs and dances, an update from SSN stated.

The students also held interactive sessions and also visited important cultural and historical sites in Manipur such as Kangla Fort, Imphal Peace Memorial, Indian National Army (INA) War Museum, Sangai Ethnic Park and Loktak lake.

It mentioned that under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) programme initiated by the Ministry of Education, department of School Education and Literacy, government of India, Nagaland has been paired with the state of Manipur and Madhya Pradesh.

The initiative aims at enhancing interaction to promote mutual understanding between people of different states and union territories through the concept of state/ union territory pairing.
