- KOHIMA — In an era where the pursuit for individual
aggrandisement has taken precedence over the larger interest of society, the
commissioner and secretary of Land Revenue and director of Census Operation,
Dr. Zasekuolie Chüsi, has urged the students to uphold the quality of
encouraging others, a virtue of the Nagas ancestors which is now gradually
disappearing.
- He stated this during the inaugural programme of a two-day
75th anniversary celebration of the Mezoma Students’ Union (MSU) held in Mezoma
village on the theme "Vi kerieke khe." Stating that individualism
would results in division and the society hinder progress, he urged the
students to work hard and inculcate the qualities of respecting others,
humility and hard work.
- Dr. Chüsi has urged the students to swim against the tide
instead of following the crowd and going with the flow.

second state in the North East after Assam. Despite attaining 60 years
statehood, Nagaland is still lagging behind on many aspects comparing with
other north eastern states that were created in subsequent years,” he observed.
- Lhouchalie Viya, commissioner and secretary of Nagaland
State Disaster Management Authority and New Renewable Energy, urged students to
dedicate and work hard in their studies. He advised them to make cautious use

- Viya further suggested the student body to visit schools at
regular interval to check irregularities.
- The introductory session was led by Keviseto Rhitso,
co-convenor of the central organising committee, while Rev. Vicavor Krose,

School, Mezoma, and Mezo-Liezha. Greetings were delivered by Mezomia Mechü
