Dimapur, Jan. 19 (EMN): Dimapur Government College’s department of psychology, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) have jointly organised a workshop on violence against women and children in the college premises on January 19.
Resource persons Weri-u Mero, centre administrator of ‘Sakhi - One Stop Centre’ spoke on “Sakhi- One Stop Centre, Women Helpline -181 and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP);” while Bovili K Chishi, a case worker, spoke on “Psychological support for the women affected by violence with the ethical guidelines of counselling;” and Zuchumpeni Ngullie, panel lawyer of Dimapur district legal services authority, spoke on “Trafficking.”
A press release issued by DGC media cell stated that a play on forms of violence was enacted by the students of the college.
The workshop was chaired by Lhipe Naro, DGC assistant professor department of sociology, and Puli Chishi, DGC assistant professor department of psychology.
