Nagaland State Designated Agency (NSDA), in collaboration with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BBE), Ministry of Power, Government of India, had organised an awareness programme on energy conservation at C-Edge College, Dimapur, on March 10.
The programme began with the introductory speech by Er. IV Chishi, Chief Electrical Inspector, who stressed on the importance of conducting such awareness programme on energy conservation.
NSDA Consultant, Er. KT Wabang, said with the initiative taken by the Chief Electrical Inspectorate, the State Designated Agency have succeeded immensely in organising such awareness programmes in different schools and colleges in almost all the districts in Nagaland.
A powerpoint presentation on energy conservation in our daily life was presented by Mrs. S Choudhary and RP Niranjan Bose from Novotech Environmental Engineering Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata. The presentation included short film clips and discussions on how to save and conserve energy in our daily lives.
The hour long programme ended with an active interactive session between the resource persons and the students and faculty of the college. It is also to be noted that NSDA presented the college with some few LED light bulbs.
