Students organise Covid-19 awareness rally in Shamator

Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): Shamator Town Students' Union (STSU), in association with the Tuensang district administration, organised a Covid-19 awareness and peace rally on October 29.

The peace rally started at 3rd NAP out sector and culminated at Shamator local ground by maintaining SOP under the guidance of Covid-19 task force to educate the public about the importance of wearing face mask, social distancing, personal hygiene and maintaining responsibilities while going out for any work within the community.

A DIPR report stated that the additional deputy commissioner of Shamator, Lankonsen Tsanglao, and the STSU president Topung spoke during the awareness programme.

It further added that teachers and students from St. Xavier School Shamator, Christian High School Shamator, Government Higher Secondary School Shamator, public leaders and all NGOs in Shamator took part in the rally.
