Dimapur, March 27 (EMN): Niuland area students' union (NASU) and Ato area students' union (AASU) appealed to the state government to urgently repair the deplorable road between 4th Mile, Dimapur, to Niuland town stating that the said road has become impassable for commuters especially pregnant women and sick patients.
The two students’ organisations made this appeal in reiteration to its earlier appeals dated 07/06/18, ref no NASU/NOT-02/18-19/11, AASU representation dated 19/03/2019 ref no AASU/GS-106, and subsequent press release issued to all local dailies dated 04/03/19.
In a joint statement, NASU president, Yepeto Aye, and the AASU president, H Hisaka Kibami, urged the PDA government's slogan "Change is coming" be literally reflected for the better and not otherwise.
It added that the two unions would be compelled to undertake democratic resentment measures on total ignorance by the government to deliver the basic rights to its people despite several appeals.
