
DIMAPUR— Students of St. John Bosco School (SJBS) in Khonoma village under Kohima district have participated at the Yoga Shivir organised by Ghaspani battalion of the Assam Rifles at the school premises on Thursday.
An update from the school informed that a total of 40 students have participated in the Yoga Shivir under the supervision of rifleman, Indrajit Sonowal.
The yoga session lasted for 30 minutes after which, refreshment was provided to all by the Assam Rifles.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The school’s headmaster, Rev. Fr. Solomon Vizo, has thanked the Assam Rifles for organising the programme. He expressed hope that the gift of ancient Indian tradition ‘Yoga’ would emerge as one of the most trusted means to boost physical and mental well-being among school children.
The event was organised to let the students know that June 21 was declared as the International Yoga Day by the United Nations General Assembly.
