Dimapur, Feb. 4 (EMN): A number of students from St. Joseph’s College in Jakhama in Kohima are said to have attended the Global Investors Summit in Guwahati. The two day summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to updates on Sun. the college’s students were part of a delegation from Nagaland. The Nagaland delegation had 25 delegates. They included winners of what the updates called the ‘first cut competition.’ They attended the event along with officials from local resource and capacity-building group YouthNet and officials from the departments of Industries, Tourism, Honey Mission, IT and Power; NEPED, NBRM and NBDA and Zynorique Initiative, the updates stated
The summit showcases the manufacturing sector and the opportunity offered by the state of Assam in export-oriented manufacturing and services to growing economies such as the Asean and BNN countries.
“The students also shared that winning the competition helped boost their confidence and such opportunities must be given to more young people. They also met with Nickson Sharma, who works with NEDFI, NEDFI currently has a 100 cr. fund to boost entrepreneurship in the Northeast region,” the updates stated.
