Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): The 6th Fresher’s Week of C-Edge College, Dimapur, which commenced from June 21, was concluded on June 29.
The fresher’s week witnessed various events such as grooming session, introductory session, ethnic round, and talent show.
The finale programme was graced by chairman of ACAUT, Joel Naga as guest speaker. In his speech, Joel said Nagas are finally waking up and is questioning the authority instead of remaining silent.
He encouraged the students to inculcate the mentorship culture in the society by stressing on its significance citing some few examples of successful people from different fields who had mentors in their life.

Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by Yimwapangla, assistant professor, welcome address and pledge of allegiance was led by Er Moa Aier, president of the college.
On the occasion, the college also presented the Star Attendance Award, Laurel Award and the Balakrishnan Ramanathan Award for EVS topper. The Laurel Award for the recently graduated students who had the overall highest CGPA from BA and BBA was awarded to Ongru Pongen and Shiluwati respectively. The award ceremony was presided by Dr Chubatola Aier, principal of the college.
The programme concluded with the crowning of Mr and Miss Fresher 2017. Ito G of BA I Semester and Imchakumla Longkumer of BBA I were declared as Mr and Miss Fresher respectively. James T Ayemi and Limugha Zhimomi were the runners up. Other subtitles included Best Talent by Sedevito and Imchakumla from BBA I Semester and Best Ethnic Wear by Munuto and E Shotola from BA I Semester.
