The charity was in commemoration of the organisation’s 50th anniversary. The beds were handed over to the hospital’s administrator Dr. Yimsu, no surname given, after a prayer offered by Nokzenketba, home missionary at Ungma Senso Telongjem in Mokokchung. Lenjem Hospital is a 30-bed hospital equipped with ICU and NICU, ultrasound, digital X-Ray, dialysis; and a pharmacy and laboratory. The hospital is said to operate 24x7. The hospital has specialists including gynaecologists, paediatrics and surgery besides specialists in laparoscopy. Accepting the donation from the union, Dr Yimsu called Lenjem hospital a hospital for the people and that it exists in the service of the people. The students’ union will be celebrating its golden jubilee with the theme “Temaleni” (Ao for forward) at Mayangnokcha govt. hr. sec. school’s auditorium, on Dec. 21.
