Students’ Council St. Joseph College (A) condoles demise of former student

DIMAPUR — The Students’ Council of St. Joseph College (A), Jakhama, has condoled the demise of former Josephite Vihozhonu Zao, a promising and talented young basketball star, whose life was tragically taken by an act of homicide on October 25 in Kohima town.

The council has vehemently condemned the brutal act of violence meted to a young innocent sister in strongest possible terms. It has termed such heinous and cowardly action as a direct violation of the fundamental rights of an individual and also an attack on peace and security among the citizens.

It urged the concerned authority to go to great lengths meticulously in their relentless pursuit of justice, ensuring that the accused is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law without any delay.

The council also acknowledged the special investigation team (SIT) and the other police personnel for their dedicated efforts in solving the case promptly. It also urged the concerned authorities of the state for investment in enhancing the availability of the facilities required for solving such kind of cases in days to come.

The council further affirmed its solidarity and unwavering support with the law enforcement agencies of any measures in might take.
