Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): Dimapur District Urban Development Agency (DDUDA) and Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) organised a street play to create awareness and inform the street vendors about Svanidhi Mahatsov scheme at Supermarket on Wednesday.
The scheme was launched in June 2020 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to facilitate working capital loans to the street vendors to help them restart their livelihoods that have been adversely affected due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
Mhonchan, a core member of Better Dimapur and leader of the street play, shared that the programme was organised to disseminate information about loans and insurances provided by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to the street vendors.
He also informed that they would celebrate Atma Nirbhar Street Vendors at Supermarket on July 23, where resource persons and officials from various departments would come and share about business ideas and also about the schemes and loans for the street vendors.
The various activities during the celebration would include cultural items, Nukkad Natak, street food festival, self help group products mela, felicitation of street vendors, loan mela and digital Transaction training.
