Dimapur, March 21 (EMN): The 12th annual sports week of Straightway Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung got underway on Tue. March 20 with Major S.K Kaushik, 2IC 44th Assam Rifles attending the opening ceremony as the chief guest according to a press note.
The chief guest in his speech encouraged the students to improve in character and moral through sports and to build positive team spirit. He further told the students to play for the spirit of goal and further congratulated the participants.
The programme was chaired by Moajungla followed by the invocation by Missionary Alem and a welcome note was addressed by the headmistress.
The students are categorised under sub-junior, junior and senior and will be playing various games and sports throughout the sports week which will conclude on March 23.
