Storm destroys more than 200 houses in KA

Our Correspondent Diphu, April 12 (EMN): Atleast 200 houses under Phuloni Constituency of Karbi Anglong were damaged in a sudden blow of monsoonal storm on April 12. Talking to Eastern Mirror correspondent over the telephone, one of the local Member of Autonomous Council (MAC), Dorsing Ronghang informed that the storm happened around 10 am to 11 am. The MAC member also informed that the storm effected villages like Borsing Ronghang, Loringthepi, Sar-ik Bey, Diphu Tokbi, B. Rongchehon, Hembonglong, Chapong and Rensing Rongpi including two schools -Mirdan English School and Dengkimo English school. Also, Ronghang informed that during the storm, atleast 3 persons were injured while informing that financial assistance have been provided to those families whose houses were badly damaged. Ronghang informed that till now, no rehabilitation was reached to  the storm effected families by the district administration. For which he has informed to the Chief executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.
