Dimapur, Aug. 27 (EMN): A number of houses in Tseminyu subdivision in Kohima district are stated to have been destroyed during a storm on August 25.
The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), gave updates on August 27 informing about the aftermath of the reported storm.
According to the IPR, a ‘very strong cyclonic storm’ occurred at 3:00 pm on August 25 at Gwachonlo village, stated to be in the Tsogin extra additional commissioner’s headquarters in Tseminyu subdivision.
‘Several houses were destroyed wherein the houses of the two persons, Kenilo Kent and Aaron Khing were completely uprooted by the strong cyclonic storm leaving them homeless. The village is situated around 70 km away from Tseminyu,’ the IPR stated in its updates.
