State BJP welcomed the newly appointed State president, Visasolie Lhoungnu, at a function at its party head office, Dimapur, on January 12. Attended by national leaders, State party officials, state frontals and party well wishers, the exuberant gathering was addressed by several leaders heralding the beginning of a new phase in the party organization and politics.
Farrooq Khan, national secretary and state prabhari, congratulated the newly elected president and highlighted the goals before the party that are to be achieved. He lamented on the poor infrastructure of the state that have affected the lives of the common man adding the state of the Dimapur city roads is a clear indication of the neglect of the public needs. He said only the national highways were visible and none other roads were worthy to serve the needs of the common man. For reasons as such, he cajoled the party men under the leadership of the new state president, Visasolie, to work hard to bring positive changes to the state through the development of the public infrastructures. He wished the state party unit well in all its endeabours.
Dr. M Chuba Ao, outgoing State president, congratulated the newly elected State president and handed over the reins of the State president office. He thanked the party members who stood by him through thick and thin during his tenures. He encouraged the party workers to be loyal to the party programmes and work hard towards the goal of strengthening the party.
Prashant Arora, general secretary (Org), congratulated and welcomed the new president and encouraged the party members to cooperate and work together for a better and brighter future of the party and the state. He described the party members enrolled in the state today as “jewels” as they had withstood several political storms of the past to bring the party to this day and growing stronger and better.
Visasolie Lhoungnu, newly elected president, thanked the party leaders, national and state, for reposing faith on him to hold the rein of the State. He assured the party members to work hard for the betterment of the party on all fronts focusing on the next Assembly election of 2018.
Party members also congratulated the newly elected president and wished him well.
