Dimapur, May 28 (EMN): Dimapur District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) has announced to observe the ‘World No Tobacco Day’ on May 31.
In this connection, all the institutions in Dimapur and the tobacco free schools and colleges are directed to observe the day. The Dimapur district cell has asked the schools and colleges to do some sort of activities on May 31 to mark ‘World no tobacco day.
An update informed that the theme for this year was focus on heart diseases. The theme was selected to reflect the increasing trend of the incidence of cardio-vascular diseases attributing to tobacco use.
DTCC has informed to conduct literary competitions in which the winners would be provided with certificates on that day. The competition would include poster and painting competition basing on the theme.
All schools are asked to depute two students for the competition. Cash prizes would be awarded to the best three winners. It further informed that the competitions would begins at 9:30 am.
