Dimapur, Dec. 19 (EMN): Nagaland recorded zero new Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, according to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare. The state’s Covid tally therefore stands at
32, 169, while active caseload stands at 82.
The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,317, with two more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours. The death toll remains unchanged at 685 with no Covid-19 death reported on Sunday.
The two recoveries were reported from Dimapur, it stated.
Out 82 active cases in the state, 65 are asymptomatic, 16 mild and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 61 active cases, 18 in Kohima, and three in Mokokchung while, Wokha, Kiphire, Peren, Phek, Mon, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Longleng are currently Covid-free.
With 7,081 people testing positive for coronavirus infection on Sunday, India's total tally of Covid-19 cases rose to 3,47,40,275, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,77,422, with 264 daily fatalities, it said.
The active cases declined to 83,913, with the recovery of 7,469 patients in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, with the administration of 76,54,466 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 137.46 Cr (1,37,46,13,252).
