Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): Nagaland recorded seven new Covid-19 positive cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 35,441 and active caseload to 67.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33, 135 with the recovery of two more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remains unchanged at 753 with no fresh deaths reported on Wednesday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, seven positive cases were reported in Dimapur alone.
Meanwhile, one each in Dimapur and Mokokchung recovered from the infection during the same period.
Out of 67 active cases in the state, 60 are asymptomatic, five mild, and two moderate on oxygen.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 46 cases, 15 in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, and one each in Wokha, Kiphire and Longleng, while Mon, Tuensang, Peren, Zunheboto, and Phek are currently Covid-19 free.
India logged 4,575 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, taking the tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,29,75,883, according to data from the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.
The active cases dipped to 46,962, with the recovery of 7,416 patients in the last 24 hours; the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,24,13,566.
The death toll climbed to 5,15,355 with 145 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
With the administration of more than 18.69 lakh (18,69,103) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 179.33 Cr (1,79,33,99,555).
