Dimapur, Jan. 30 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 65 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 34,341 and active caseload to 884.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 31,318 with recovery of 60 more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll increase to 731 with two fresh deaths reported on Sunday.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 41 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, seven in Mokokchung and one from Wokha.
The state also reported 43 recoveries from Dimapur, 12 from Kohima, three from Phek and two from Mokokchung.
Out 884 active cases in the state, 752 are asymptomatic, 117 mild, nine moderate on oxygen, and six on ICU ventilator
India reported 2,34,281 new positive coronavirus infections on Sunday, taking the country’s total tally of cases to 4,10,92,522, according to data from the Union Health ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,94,091 with 893 fatalities reported during the 24-hour period, the data updated at 8 am showed.
The active cases decreased by 1,19,396 with 3,52,784 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours, while the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 3,87,13,494.
With the administration of more than 62 lakh doses (62,22,682), India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 165.70 crore (1,65,70,60,692).
