Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): Nagaland recorded four fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 35,434 and active caseload to 62.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33, 133 with the recovery of five more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remains unchanged at 753 with no fresh deaths reported on Tuesday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, three positive cases were reported in Dimapur, and one in Longleng.
Meanwhile, four in Dimapur recovered from the infection during the same period.
Out of 62 active cases in the state, 56 are asymptomatic, five mild and one moderate on oxygen.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 40 cases, 15 in Kohima, four in Mokokchung, and one each in Wokha, Kiphire and Longleng, while Mon, Tuensang, Peren, Zunheboto, and Phek are currently Covid-19 free.
India logged 3,993 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday taking the tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,29,71,308, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,15,210 with 108 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
It said that 8,055 patients recovered in the last 24 hours and the tally of recovered patients is now at 4,24,06,150.
The cumulative vaccine doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 179.13 crore.
