Dimapur, Jan. 27 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 111 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 34,059 and active caseload to 850.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 31,130 with the recovery of 81 more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll increased to 692 with one fresh Covid death reported on Thursday.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 61 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, seven in Mokokchung, four in Peren, 27 in Tuensang and one in Zunheboto. Meanwhile, 57 recoveries were reported from Dimapur, 15 in Kohima, two in Mokokchung, six in Peren and one in Phek.
Out 850 active cases in the state, 695 are asymptomatic, 143 mild, five moderate on oxygen, two on ICU without ventilator and five on ICU ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 595 infections, 130 in Kohima, 32 in Mokokchung, 29 in Tuensang, 24 in Wokha, 22 in Peren, five in Phek, four each in Zunheboto, Mon, and Kiphire, and one in Longleng.
India reported 2,86,384 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the country’s tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,03,71,500, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,91,700 with 573 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
The active cases decreased to 22,02,472 with 3,06,357 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 3,76,77,328.
With the administration of more than 22 lakh (22,35,267) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 163.84 crore(1,63,84,39,207).
