Dimapur, March 21 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of one fresh Covid-19 positive case on Tuesday, taking the tally to 35,467 and active caseload to 34.
The state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 33, 191 with the recovery of four more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remained unchanged at 754 with no fresh death reported on Tuesday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, one positive case was reported in Dimapur, while three in Dimapur and one in Wokha recovered.
Out of the 34 active cases in the state, 32 are asymptomatic, one mild, and one severe in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 23 infections, 10 in Kohima, and one in Mokokchung, while Kiphire, Wokha, Longleng, Mon, Tuensang, Peren, Zunheboto and Phek are currently Covid-19 free.
India reported a single-day rise of 1,581 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the infection tally to 4,30,10,971, while the active cases further declined to 23,913, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
The death toll climbed to 5,16,543, with 33 daily fatalities, the ministry stated.
A reduction of 1,193 cases was recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 181.56 crore(1,81,56,01,944).
