Dimapur, July 10 (EMN): Nagaland recorded three new COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday, but no deaths and recoveries were registered on the day.
The three new infections – one from Dimapur and two from Mokokchung – pushed the state’s active cases to 35 and the tally so far to 35, 546. The number of recoveries and death toll remained unchanged at 33,255 and 758 respectively.
Out of the 35 active cases in the state, 33 are asymptomatic, one mild and one moderate on oxygen.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has the highest infections at 21, followed by Peren with six, three each in Kohma and Mokokchung, and two in Longleng; while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
Meanwhile, India recorded 18,257 new coronavirus infections taking the country’s tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,36,22,651. The active cases increased to 1,28,690, and the death toll climbed to 5,25,428 with 42 new fatalities, according to the Union Health Ministry data on Sunday.
