- DIMAPUR — A team
of officials from the State Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) held a
consultative meeting with Peren district Bharat Scouts and Guide at the
conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office on Tuesday.
- The deputy commissioner of Peren and president of district
Bharat Scouts and Guide, Hiazu Meru, welcomed the state officials and
appreciated them for their contribution to educate young people through a value
system based on the scouts and to become self fulfilled individuals.

- He also highlighted about the Scouts law outlining
specifically trustworthy, honesty and integrity.
- The agenda was highlighted by Kekhrieselhou Theunuo, ASTC
(Scout), followed by induction of the deputy commissioner as president of
District Bharat Scouts and Guides.
- In another statement, the deputy commissioner of Dimapur
informed that a crucial meeting to discuss the growth and development of the
Bharat Scouts and Guides Movement in the district would be held on May 21 in
his office at 1 pm.
- The meeting would be attended by a team of officials from
the state headquarters and district, where they would explore new avenues to
enhance the movement’s reach and effectiveness in the region.
- The DC of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, has directed the
district education officer, senior sub-divisional education officer, district
sports officer, district officials of Bharat Scouts and Guides Association,
principals/ headmasters/ headmistresses of government and private schools of
Dimapur with Scout/ Guide units, scout masters and guide captains of BS&GA
of Dimapur units and president of ANPSA Dimapur unit to attend the meeting.
