Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, who had documented on the good effects of food on people in his book ‘Diet and diet reforms,’ FSSAI has launched ‘Eat Right India’ movement to bring about social and behavioural change in diets of people at home, school, workplace and outside.
To mark the occasion, Nagaland Food Safety under Health and Family Welfare department observed the “World Food Day” on October 16 in the office premises of the State Public Health Laboratory, Kohima.
Based on the theme ’Eat Right India,’ regional and traditional food items that signify all the tastes as per ayurveda, necessary for energetic effects on the body and mind, bearing different colours were displayed as ‘Eat right state thali’ to promote messages on healthy diets.
