Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services (NFES) along with other fire services across the country would observe the ‘Fire Service Week’ from April 14 to 20. April 14 would be observed as “Martyrs’ Day” to pay homage to those brave fire personnel who lost their precious lives while performing their duty. The day would be set aside for mass awareness campaign on fire hazards and safety measures by conducting fire safety and evaluation drills.
Awareness on fire prevention and safety campaign would be held in all district headquarters on April 14 from 8 a.m. onwards.
In Kohima campaign would be conducted at CRPF Junction, Lerie; Mohankhola Junction; PHQ Junction; TCP Gate Junction; New NST Junction; Kezekie Market; Tinpati Junction and High School Junction, while campaign in Dimapur would be conducted at Clock Tower; Notun Bosti; DC office Junctin; PWD Junction; MP Road Junction and Super Market.
Campaign in Chumukedima would be conducted at Sieurhuza; 2nd Gate; Chumukedima Bazaar and Sovima Junction, campaign in Mon would be conducted at New Site junction; Night bus station and Bazaar line. In Phek, the campaign would be conducted at Police Point; Bethany Colony; Hospital junction; DC office junction; High School junction and Police Check gate (Bible Hill).
In Tuensang, campaign would be conducted at Tower Clock and High School junction, while in Zunheboto campaign would be conducted at Police Point; DC office junction and BOC, while in Mokokchung campaign would be conducted at Sungkom; Police Point and Sewak gate. In Wokha, campaign would be conducted at Police Point; Zero Point and Longsa gate, while in Kiphire campaign would be conducted at DC office; Bazaar junction and Police point.
In Peren, campaign would be conducted at Police point; New Jalukie and Bazaar line, while campaign in Longleng would be conducted at adjoining Leinak and Shamkang ward-police point; NST junction; Shayung ward and Main Zero point (Longleng town).
