DIMAPUR, JULY 18
The inter-media publicity coordination committee (IMPCC) for the month of July was held on 18th July 2014 under the theme “Right to Information” at the Officer’s Conference hall, Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Kohima.
An introduction session was first held led by Additional Director, IPR, Pausui Zeliang. Joint Director, IPR, Limawati Ao gave a brief report on the departmental activities where he stated that the assignments of IPR department is not confined to a particular activity. Being the nodal department in disseminating news and events happening around the State, the department has given out documentaries to news agencies for broadcasting particularly on the 50 years of Statehood celebration, he said. He also said that all the district offices have now been equipped with Audio Visual Mobile Publicity Unit to disseminate/demonstrate the activities in Institutions and rural areas.
Transmission Executive, AIR, Moamar Imsong presented a report on the various activities and programs carried out by the All India Radio till the first half of the month. In a nutshell, he highlighted the important topics which the department had broadcast.
“Rainwater Harvesting” has been adopted as the theme for the month of August-2014. The next IMPCC meeting is scheduled to be held on 28th August at All India Radio (AIR) at 12:00 noon.
