IMPHAL — The four-day State Level Wushu Championship 2025, organised at SAI Imphal by the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army, concluded on Tuesday.
Beginning as a district-level competition in Bishnupur in 2024, the event has now evolved into a full-fledged state championship in 2025, becoming a major sporting attraction for the youth of Manipur.

This year, a total of 615 participants competed in 573 bouts across both forms of Wushu — Sanda and Taolu. The tournament aimed to popularise the sport among the younger generation and to instil discipline, confidence, and a competitive spirit.
Winners and runners-up were felicitated with championship trophies, medals, certificates, and cash prizes by the chief guest, GOC Red Shield Division.
