State legislators seek more impetus for state development

Patton stated this during his meeting with Kiren Rijiju at his resident in New Delhi on May 23. According to a press release issued by Kuolie Mere, PRO (IPR) Nagaland House, New Delhi, Patton was accompanied by cabinet colleagues and advisors comprising health minister Pangnyu Phom, transport minister Paiwang Konyak, PHED minister Jacob Zhimomi, minister of soil and water conservation Kashiho Sangtam, minister of higher and technical education Temjen Imna Along, advisor of law and justice Dr. Longriniken, advisor of power Tovihoto Ayemi, advisor of labour employment Kazheto Kinimi, advisor of toursin Khehovi Yepthomi, and chairman of Nagaland Bamboo Mission Visasolie Lhoungu. He stated that the state legislators during their meeting with central leader had emphasised on the need to bring all round development with investment in infrastructure and economic growth with special focus on the road connectivity to all the major districts in the state. The team also expressed strong desire for a lasting peace and the need to bring about an early political solution through the ongoing political dialogue and peace process. In reply to their appeals, the union home minister assured to give his best to help the state in all the possible ways in the larger interest of Nagaland and North-East Region of the country in particular.
