Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): State unit of the Janata Dal United (JDU) has strongly condemned the incident on July 28 night in which the vehicle of its president and chairman of NEEC, JDU, NSN (Senchumo) Lotha, was vandalised by some miscreants at his private residence in Lower Agri Colony, Kohima, without any rhyme or reasons.
The party general secretary, Kitoho S Rotokha has described NSN Lotha as a peace loving leader who do not deserve such intimidation be it against him, his family or his properties. He stated that such crime perpetrated against a political party leader and a peace loving person should be highly condemned by all conscious citizens.
He further urged upon the concerned authority to act according to the FIR being lodged by the victim and bring the culprit to book at the earliest and award exemplary punishment as per the law of the land.
In a FIR lodged at South Police Station, NSN Lotha stated that his vehicle Toyota Fortuner bearing Registration No. NL-05C- 3932 was vandalised by some unknown miscreants which parked near his residence at Lower Agri Colony, Kohima. He also stated that the official name plate was extracted leaving the vehicle in a disfigured condition.
He has urged the police to urgently investigate the matter and bring the culprits to book. He also stated that the unidentified persons behind the crime are to be taken into serious consideration as the heinous act was perpetrated right at the door of his residence which has put his life into acute jeopardy.
