Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN): State Janata Dal (United) today made it clear that the party would not, under any circumstance(s), compromise on the issue of crime, corruption and communalism. It has rather affirmed to stand against any authority, individual or party harbouring them and to endeavour in keeping Nagaland free from those menaces. The state JD (U) media cell has stated this in reiteration to the principle and ideological stand of its national president and Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar, and the stand of the JD (U) on 3Cs –crime, corruption and communalism. State JD (U), which is part of the Peoples’ Democratic Alliance (PDA) government in Nagaland, affirmed not to compromise on of the issue of crime, corruption and communalism no matter even if the party is in coalition or not. It rather decided to stand against any authority, individual or party that harbours the 3Cs and also endeavour to keep Nagaland free of the 3Cs. It on this principle, JD (U), in its last national executive council meeting on July 8 in New Delhi, had opposed the proposed citizenship amendment bill 2016 which is communal in its intention and moreover against the sentiments of the people of Assam in general. The release added that JD (U) has a tradition of allowing federal regionalism within its partyfold in so far as the genuine interests and issues which are dear to the general and common people of its party state units is concern. In the above light, the JD (U) has appealed to the people of Nagaland to stand in support when such issue is raised by the party in days to come.
