The State Handloom Expo in Dimapur from September 10 to 23 will feature artisans, weavers, and handicraft makers, offering free stalls and travel support.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) Ltd. (A Govt. of Nagaland undertaking) is organising the State Handloom Expo (Hathkargha Mela) at Urban Haat, Dimapur, from September 10 to the 23rd.
According to a press release issued by NHHDC, the last date for submission of applications is September 6. The event is sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Interested co-operative societies, producer companies, self-help groups (SHGs), federations, apex societies, and handloom and handicraft agencies, including silk weavers, jute artisans, and the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, may apply for participation to the Project Cell, NHHDC Ltd., Half Nagarjan, Dimapur.

Applications must include a detailed address, mobile number, bank account number with IFSC code of the participants, and one group photograph of products to be displayed in the respective stall. Applications should be submitted on or before the above-mentioned date during office hours.
All stalls shall be provided free of cost, and lump sum travelling allowance/dearness allowance and freight charges will be reimbursed as per the prescribed rates of the National Handloom Development Programme guidelines.
