Dimapur, November 10 : The Government of Nagaland has welcomed and extended full support to scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes by the Modi government from the midnight of November 8, calling it a bold and strategic strike against black money which has been hindering the progress of the country for quite some time.
Acknowledging the receipt of D.O letter dated 8th November, 2016 regarding the decision taken by the Government of India, Chief Minister TR Zeliang in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him for this bold and forward looking decision.
“This move gives a further boost to our confidence that under your dynamic and visionary leadership, the country will move ahead on the road to progress and prosperity at the pace never witnessed before,” the letter said.
