State government invites recommendations for Governor’s Gold Medal

DIMAPUR — The Home department, Political Branch, Government of Nagaland, has notified on the invitation for consideration of the award of the Governor’s Gold Medal and Commendation Certificates on the occasion of Republic Day, 2026.

According to a DIPR report, it requested that the recommendations, if any, be submitted latest by December 15, 2025 (Monday).

The guidelines state that details of candidates recommended should be as per the format given in Annexure-A. Precise recommendations citations in narrative form should not exceed one page (A4 size).

Recommendations/citations in respect of gazetted officers shall be submitted through the concerned head of department, and the administrative head of department shall duly sign and forward the same to the special secretary, Home department.

For recommendations/citations in respect of non-gazetted staff, the head of department shall sign and forward them to the special secretary, Home department.

In the case of Police, Home Guards, Prisons and Fire Services, the recommendations shall come through their respective director general/heads of the department to the special secretary, Home department.

In respect of NGOs, individuals, and employees working under the establishment of the deputy commissioners, the deputy commissioners shall submit the recommendations to the commissioner, Nagaland, who in turn shall sign and forward them to the special secretary, Home department.

Six copies of recommendations/citations duly signed by the recommending authority should be forwarded along with a soft copy (Word format).
