Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF) has expressed resentment and anguish over the ambush carried out allegedly by the cadres of NSCN (K) at Aboi in Mon district on June 17.
A press release from the NGBF’s media cell on Wednesday informed that three Assam Rifle jawans were killed in the ambush in which one of the victims was a Naga.
The updates stated that Naga political leaders under any organisation or group understand the gravity of the people’s desire for peace at this juncture.
“So many organisations have expressed their opinion regarding the ongoing peace talks with the GOI and everyone is praying for the new dawn of the day in which Nagas could live with a mind without fear,” it pointed out.
NGBF has conveyed condolence to the bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery to those injured.
The group also urged upon the Indian security forces and Naga political groups to avoid any forms of violence and confrontation under any circumstances. It further appealed the NSCN (K) to shun violence and join the peace process in negotiation with the GOI and walk towards the era of peace and progress.
