The state consultation to discuss the Smart City Mission will be held in the Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima town on November 23. Chief Minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang will be the ‘chief guest’ of the meeting. Secretary for Municipal Affairs of the department and Secretary for the High Power Steering Committee Cities’ Mission will preside over the meeting.
According to the program, the keynote address on Smart City Mission will be delivered by the chief secretary of Nagaland, also the chairman of the High Power Steering Committee for Cities Mission. The Kohima Municipal Council will give a brief note on the ‘challenges and positive aspects on Kohima Smart City.’ A brief note about a so-called “smart solution on Kohima Smart City” will be presented by State Consultant on Smart Cities, Vice President of Voyants Pvt. Ltd.
The chief minister will also give presentation to the winners of essay and logo competitions on Smart Cities.
The Smart Cities Mission is an innovative and new initiative by the Government of India to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life of people by enabling local development and harnessing technology as a means to create smart outcomes for citizens.
