Dimapur, June 15 (EMN): State Deputy Chief Minister and BLP Leader, Y Patton, and the State BJP president and minister of Higher Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along, urged upon the national BJP general secretary and in-charge of North eastern states and J&K, Ram Madhav, to expedite the Naga peace process and resolve the long pending issue at the earliest.
State BJP leaders made this appeal to Ram Madhav, who called on him at his residence in New Delhi on June 15.
A press release issued by the media cell of the Deputy Chief Minister office stated that the State party leaders have discussed about strengthening and improving the party in the northeast in general and Nagaland in particular. Besides, they also discussed about expediting the Naga peace process and resolving the long pending Naga issue.
It added that the party leaders have highlighted on various developmental aspects needed in the State. Meanwhile, it stated that Ram Madhav had given a patiently hearing and assured to take all positive steps towards the issues raised by them.
