Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): Nagaland unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has vehemently condemned the dastardly act of assassination of NPP legislator, Tirong Aboh, and 10 others in an ambush in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on May 21.
State BJP president, Temjen Imna Along, stated that such dastardly act is devoid of common sense and cannot be accepted in the present set-up of democratic world. He added that allowing such barbaric acts to continue would only take the present civilisation back to stone-age.
Temjen Imna also stated that the present case of such nature should not only be left to the state government of Arunachal Pradesh to tackle but should be a joint and concerted effort of state forces and central forces to jointly investigate and operate together until justice is served by giving befitting punishment to the culprits as per the law.
“Unless nipped from the bud, it will raise its ugly head and cause serious national security problem,” Temjen Imna stated adding the present act is an act of terrorism.
Nagaland BJP has conveyed condolence to the family members of Tirong Aboh and all the families of those who have lost their near and dear ones. Nagaland BJP demanded that no stone should be left unturned until justice is served.
In a separate statement, Nagaland unit of the Janata Dal (United) has condemned the inhuman act perpetrated on National People’s Party (NPP) MLA Tirong Aboh and 10 other innocent public including his son and personal security personnel at Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh on May 21 by certain militants.
While condoling the demise, the State JD party urged upon every sensible citizen to condemn such heinous crime and also demanded to the concerned state government and competent central agencies to probe the unfortunate incident at an earliest and bring the culprits to book and deal with stringent laws and give befitting punishment to the perpetrators.
