Dimapur, Dec. 30: State BJP observed Good Governance Day on account of the 92nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, AtalBihari Vajpayee on December 30 at its party office, Dimapur, organised by State Good Governance Committee(GGC). Party officials and workers conducted abrief ceremony to honourVajpayee.
On the occasion, State president VisasolieLhoungu introduced the concept and purpose of Good Governance and declared that the State BJP would observe Good Governance Day on December 30, every year.S.T.Sangtam, convenor of GGC explained the constitutional basis, meaning and purpose of Good Governance Day.
Dr. KuhoiZhimomi, member of GGC recounted the life history and contribution of Vajpayee, while Dr. Temsuwati, member of GGC gave detailed account of implementation of 66 centrally sponsored schemes.
The programme was chaired by MulaiKhiamniungan, member secretary of the committee, invocation byVinihoZhimomi, pastor Hindi Baptist Church, Toluvi, Dimapur and vote of thanks was proposed by chairman of MulaiKhiamniungan.
