Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): State BJP workers along with the 12 legislators celebrated the party’s victory in the recently concluded Karnataka election in its office at Supermarket, Dimapur. The celebration was initiated by the leader of BJP Legislature Party (BLP) and deputy chief minister, Y Patton.
Addressing the party workers, Patton, on behalf of the state BJP, has congratulated to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the national BJP president, Amit Shah.
The party media cell has quoted Patton as saying as a historic win for BJP. He stated that dismantling the incumbent Congress government in Karnataka was a clear indication of semi final win for BJP in 2019 election. He said Modi and Amit have once again proven their charismatic leaderships and won the confidence of the people of the country.
Besides thanking the electorates of Karnataka for voting for the party, Patton also appreciated the people from the North east (whose population is more than ten lakhs) in general and the Nagas (more than 10,000) in particular residing in Bengaluru for honouring the appeals made in the recent visit to the city as a part of the Nagaland election campaign team for BJP.
Speaking on the occasion, the state president Visasolie Lhoungu has congratulated the state BJP campaign team led by the deputy chief minister Y Patton accompanied by minister of health and family welfare S Pangyu Phom, minister of higher and technical education Temjen Imna Along and others who represented the BJP Nagaland.
The state president also appealed to all party workers to cohesively come together and work hard for the victory of PDA’s (Peoples Democratic Alliance) consensus candidate Tokheho Yepthomi, as he will be a member of the NDA government at the centre if he wins.
Meanwhile, in the get together reciprocating the BJP national executive meeting held on May 14 at Delhi, the state BJP also observed one minute silence as a mark of respect and in remembrance of its senior leader K Medom, who passed away on May 11 after a brief illness in Dimapur.
