Kohima, April 30 (EMN): State government and medical fraternity bade farewell to Dr. Kevichusa Medikhrü, the principal director of Health and Family Welfare, on Friday in Kohima.

A farewell programme in honour of the outgoing doctor was held at the directorate of Health and Family Welfare, where minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom, principal secretary of Health and Family Welfare Amardeep Singh Bhatia and others attended.

Medikrü retired after serving just three months after he took charge as the principal director of the department on January 31.

Earlier during the day, Dr. Neikhrielie Khimiao took over as the principal director of Health and Family Welfare on Friday in Kohima.

Khimiao is also the proprietor of KP Bethesda, a private hospital in Kohima.
