State Bank of India conducts financial inclusion camp in Tseminyu village.

DIMAPUR — As part of three-month saturation campaign on financial inclusion schemes and re-verification of KYC at gram panchayat/ village level, State Bank of India (SBI), Tseminyu branch, in coordination with Lead Bank Office, Kohima, conducted a financial inclusion camp at the council hall of Tseminyu village on September 16.
An update from SBI Tseminyu branch stated that the event was attended by Vinod Kumar, director of DFS, (MoF), New Delhi; Amaresh Kumar Jha, general manager of NW-II, SBI, LHO, Guwahati; Japheth Woch, deputy commissioner of Tseminyu; S Nekhini, general manager of RBI, Kohima; Surabhi Bhattacharyya, DGM of SBI, Administrative office, Jorhat; and Hubert AS Wungshim, regional manager of SBI, RBO, Dimapur.
Other dignitaries who also attended the event included H Lalhimpuia, chief manager of SLBC, Nagaland; Daokho Jacob, CMFI of SBI, RBO, Dimapur; Chitebuni Kricho, AGM of NABARD, Kohima; and Saurav, PS to DGM, SBI, AO, Jorhat.

It stated that more than 120 participants including village council members, pastor and church members, representative from SHGs, farmers, students and senior citizens from different villages attended the camp.
Short speeches were delivered by director of DFS,(MoF), New Delhi; general manager of NW-II, SBI, LHO, Guwahati; deputy commissioner of Tseminyu and general manager of RBI, Kohima.
It stated that all the participants were enlightened and encouraged to avail the facilities under financial inclusion flagship schemes, which was launched by Government of India at an affordable cost for all the eligible citizens in the country.
Temsumeren, lead district manager of LBO, Kohima, spoke on schemes such as PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY, while Panü Eliakim, branch manager of SBI, Tseminyu branch, gave awareness on KYC re-verification, nomination in deposit accounts, unclaimed amount in deposit accounts and prevention of fraud and cybercrime.
The programme concluded with words of gratitude delivered by Hubert AS Wungshim.
It further stated that services such as opening PMJDY accounts, enrolment of PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY subscription were carried out after the programme.
