Star Cement, a leading brand in construction works in the North East and eastern part of the country, today conduct “Star engineers knowledge sharing platform” at de Oriental Grand Kohima.
Addressing the sub-divisional officers and junior engineers from various departments of the state government and also private architectures as the resource person, Star Cement (Guwahati) Deputy General Manager, Suneet Kumar Gupta dwelled on the necessity of a quality construction of concrete structure, which would last it assigned durability.
Stating that Star Cement has been able to increase its production upto 4 lakh tonnes per annum from that of 3 lakh tonnes per annum during its initial stage of production in 2004, he said it has been possible all because of the quality of cement.
He said that Star Cement not only enhances the strength of concrete structures, but also provides durability, prevent segregation. Meanwhile, interacting with media-persons on the sidelines of the programme, Gupta also expressed wiliness to set up cement plant in Nagaland if all the logistic supports are met.Acknowledging the availability of required lime stone in the state, he said the company would consider to come to Nagaland and provide quality service.
The company sources revealed that presently Star Cement has been meeting about 60% of the state’s requirement of cement.
