Dimapur, March 29 (EMN): The Zunheboto District Hospital will soon wear a new look as the medical officers of the district and staff of the facility have come together to clean as well as paint the building that was reportedly not whitewashed for about one-and-a-half decade.
A statement from district media officer Shekho Sophie said that the district hospital has taken up several steps to ensure cleanliness in its premises under the initiative of Dr. Khehokhu Chishi, medical superintendent, DH, Zunheboto with an aim to provide a clean environment to its patients.
Dr. Aron Muru, SMO, DH, Zunheboto said the cleanliness-cum-sanitation drive was carried out with contributions from the medical officers within the district and the staff of Zunheboto District Hospital. Revealing that the facility was last whitewashed 15 years ago, he said the staff of the hospital has painted the wards, and constructed hand washing stand and deep burial pit while the construction of cattle trap will be done in the coming days.
Aron has appealed to the public to come forward and contribute towards the initiative to uplift the only hospital on the district and take the responsibility of keeping it clean; and even cleaner than hospitals from other regions.
