St. Paul's Parish, Wokha, celebrated its parish feast day and dedicated a new Marian grotto on June 28.
DIMAPUR — St. Paul’s Parish, Wokha, comprising St. Paul’s Church, Wokha; St. Anthony’s Church, Chukitong; and Sacred Heart Church, Humtso, celebrated its parish feast day and dedicated a newly constructed Marian grotto on Sunday at St. Paul’s Church, Wokha.
According to an update, the Holy Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr. Anto Tharakan SDB, former Parish Priest, as the main celebrant, who also formally inaugurated the Marian grotto.
In his message, Fr. Anto reflected on the Gospel of Matthew, where Jesus says, “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me.”
He reminded the congregation that Christ must always hold the first place in their lives.
He further encouraged the believers that even the smallest acts of love and charity done in the name of Christ will never go unnoticed
During the Holy Mass, 19 candidates received their First Holy Communion.
