Dimapur, Oct. 4: The annual school day of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School saw the energy and talent of its students on Thur. Oct. 4 at the Latika school auditorium in Dimapur.
Attending the annual day as special guest was deputy commissioner (DC) of Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel. In his address during the programme, he attributed teamwork to be the method that defines the progress of an institution; teamwork ensures that achievements never go to waste.
Concentration and skill are connected for one to be successful and the value of studying determines what one gets in life, Patel said. He encouraged the students of the school to appreciate what they do.
Every work is special, he said. “When you want to do something for the society, let your work bring respect to your family which will eventually bring laurels to your school,” Patel told the students. Ethnic dance forms and songs performed by students were among the highlights that marked the programme. The second session will be held on Fri. Oct. 5 in the school’s auditorium.
