St. Mary School is tobacco free

EMN Dimapur, May 11 DTCC Dimapur has conducted an Anti tobacco awareness programme in St Mary School, Padam Pukhuri, on May 8 wherein around 500 students from Classes VIII to X participated in the programme in three batches.Dr C Tetseo, District Programme Officer NTCP, gave power point presentation on harmful affects of tobacco, while Lincy Sebastian, Principal of the School, advised the students never to pick up tobacco habit and also led the students in taking anti tobacco pledge. She assured that the school would adopt tobacco free school guidelines. According to Dr. C Tetseo, DTCC team has conducted awareness programme in several schools in Purana Bazzar and Tuluvi area during the week. He also encouraged other schools to come forward and adopt tobacco free school guidelines.
