- DIMAPUR — St.
Luke’s Church in Mima village celebrated Palm Sunday with procession which
started at the heart of the village and culminated at the church premises.
- Rev. Fr. C Joseph, counselor at St. Joseph’s College,
Jakhama, blessed the gathering asking God to increase the faith of the people,
while the people sang ‘Hosanna’ and recited prayers during the procession.

- At the service in the church, narration of the passion and
death of Jesus was read from the Gospel according to St. Luke.
- Fr. Joseph, in his sermon, said that Palm Sunday is a
momentous day in the Christian calendar, recalling Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem
as the Messiah and the beginning of Holy Week. He invited the faithful to
contemplate the humility and majesty of Christ’s kingship and to reflect on
commitment to follow Him on the path of love, sacrifice and salvation.
