Dimapur,March 16 (EMN): The ‘annual theatre day’ of St. Joseph’s Collge in Kohima was held on March 16 in the college’s auditorium.
Updates on Saturday offered details about the event, a programme that also hosted competitions.
In the group competition, the updates stated, the winners of the competition were IV Sem ‘C’ in the first place, VI Sem ‘F’ in the second place while the third place was secured by VI Sem ‘E’.
In the individual category, the best actor award went to Anyutho Nyuthe who played Prof. Higgins. The best actress award went to Lika Zhimomi, who played Miss Eliza Doolittle, the updates stated.
In the best costume category for men, Vitsa Sangtam was declared the winner; and the prize for women in the category went to Imtinenla, no surname given.
During the prize distribution, Fr. Dr. Joy Thomas thanked the performers and expressed surprise and satisfaction at the programme.
The updates stated that he asked the students: “How and when did you ever get time?.” He described the students as ‘the best ones,’ the updates stated.
Natalia Rhutsu proposed the vote of thanks for the programme before the ‘feast of the family’ at the basketball court of the college, it was informed.
